Floating Points

Well, we didn't win (but I guessed who did!) but I don't really care, because we had an absolute blast! I was pretty happy that at least one person understood my flannel graph, and that the formal dress looked good. Someone's already offered to buy the flannel graph, but I said I am currently waiting for the highest bidder.
So start bidding people.

So congratulations Dominators for winning, and Sahotike for coming second, and Team Pink for coming third. For Team Chaos, We_Hunt2.0 and Team Awesome, I feel as though we have all done respectably, and if you've had fun doing this then you're already a winner, in my opinion.

Reviewing Tiki Knowledge

The story that the judges have asked us to write is entitles: The Misadventures of Andrew the Paperclip.

At the moment, it should really be called the misadventures of Team Awesome.

What happened was this: Sam was meant to do the story. I get called at around 6, and it's Sam and she's freaking. Her internets carked it and her phone line's down. She can't get through to Amy, who was the back-up person for writing the story.

I text Amy at around 8, and she calls me, and we've both decided to start two hours late, and run two hours overtime. Sorry judges, but this time we are not to blame to this problem!

Updates Galore

I hope you are feeling better soooooon.

Today we have been working very hard making a sock puppet family, we have a total of 2 dressed members, the other 8 are naked at the moment.

We have made a teddy bear under 10cm and a cat out of an old stocking.

Ryan has kindly lent us 1kg of Pokemon cards.

We found fire and have a 'Home Alone' plan.

We also have 'The Third Element'

On the road to fun

Ok,

Today we had a team meeting... Meeting? sure, we made clothes.

Well actually we just made a dress. There are a couple of examples below.

And a very pretty hair piece to go with it.

And here is another hair piece we tried out.

After we had spent a while making the dress, we headed to Church to participate in the Trilympics. It was a lot of fun, I don't think we won heaps of things, but everyone had fun and all the games were hilariously silly or seemingly easy.

Overall, we had a great time today and we hope that our other team member can make it tomorrow.

Loving Being a Frog

Well, actually, apparently I'm a cat.

Why is that?

I may or may not have been purring at the time when the two other members who were able to make it today were discussing what animal I was.

But, all in all, today has been interesting. I have been dressed in newspaper (sadly I don't have pictures of this alarming event...Thank goodness!), dealt with two younger siblings that were dragged to the team meeting AND the Trilympics,  I have eaten chili (and I regret it now! =[ ), and many. many other things. I am only home briefly before I head out again, and this time instead of Scavhunting I will be in the city, for Equipped. Shall be fun, although potentially very tiring.

Hopefully Sam shall post photos of our escapades, and hopefully tomorrow the escapades shall continue, with plans for the music video to hopefully go ahead, as well as a suit.

Well, I shall toddle off to get ready to leave in ten. Farewell people!

My apologies for the last post. I'd just got home after supper (Lance you're awesome...have fun finding all our pictures!) and I needed to write something that would vaguely make it look like I had written. Today shall be a very busy day for us, as we are probably having our first team meeting! w00t! And if that's not grand enough, after this team meeting, we shall be going to the Trilympics! Contemplating Majesty of Nature

Behold! Since we haven't had a team meeting yet, I did the only thing I could and mashed photos of us into one frame. I've included a little note explaining my reasons for leaving a perfectly adequate picture frame with pictures in it at someone's house. I just have to hope that the 'someone' doesn't get too mad if I leave this is in a slightly odd place.

Will be heading to church in around 15, and I will report back afterwards to let you know the results of the espionage. I will also be doing item #113, which would be to serve the judges' like royalty at Sunday night supper...I"ve only ever waitressed once in my short life, and I didn't have a brilliant time doing it.

This may end badly.

Passing Time While Game Loads

Well, I completely forgot about the Call to Prayer this morning.

Oops.

Oh well. I wasn't up in time anyway.

I'm also in the planning stages for the fort made out of plastic cups.

According to my calculations, to make a fort 2.1X2.1X1.52m high, it will require 1760 plastic cups. (Not counting battlements). At present, I have 100 plastic cups.

I'm gonna need a few more if I'm to build my fort.

And, also according to my calculations, making a fort that big and with that many cups would only net us 35.2 points.

AND, also according to my calculations, if we buy them in packets of 25 at approximately $1.50, it would cost us around $105.60. Team Awesome's financial manager has declined to give us the funds to buy this many plastic cups, so we are going to need to look for another solution.

AND, also according to my calculations, for us to even gain 1 point it would cost us $3.

This is starting to get a bit expensive. =S

I do believe that I need to rope the other members of the team in so that we may buy a few more plastic cups.

Hungering for Gap Bonuses

When you guys were kids, did you ever rip Fantale wrappers to see who could make the longest chain? I did.

Well, a piece of Labor advertising has gone the same way. Made a really nice piece, just longer than 3m. I only had to tape it back together once, and that was because of an issue with a younger sibling...

Completely unrelated to ScavHunt, I know, but nothing has really been happening, because it's at that stage where there is no point to do anything.

And I'm still not motivated enough to film the damsel in distress yet. It's just taking up space on the table. Not that there was much space there in the first place anyway. We're just eating all our meals sitting in front of the living room heater. Oh well.

I need motivation people! Like now, preferably.

Reading Readmes

After a very enjoyable afternoon (in which nothing very much ScavHunt related was done, except for acquiring a picture frame, which I foresee getting 'accidentally' left at someone's house in the not too distant future... =P ) I am back to realize that I haven't actually done my second post for the day, which would be why it's a bit late.

Behold the awesomeness!

Keen eyes (or those who found Team Chaos' blog) will note that this is the same car that was vandalized in their team's efforts to cover a car with post-it notes. However, due to my competence, it is much more covered. I would hate to be the sucker who has to drive this thing.

Much as I wish that I could post-it note a full-size car, the only car that I have access to is *rather* large.



In other news...well, nothing really. I'm monumentally lazy and still haven't filmed. I'm gonna try to organize a meeting on Monday for our team, hopefully before the Trilympics.

Shuttling Electrons

I'm fairly pleased, because our team uniform is now complete! They all look very professional, and hopefully if we show up to the Trilympics we will blow all the other teams away with our awesomeness!

Apologies for anyone who was hanging out for the damsel in distress video, I didn't have time to film it last night (was out with family), so will hopefully film it today and upload it.

Dreaming of Greatness

After getting my little brother out of the house for a few hours (for a team meeting), I started work on the set for #246, which I am tentatively calling the spiritual successor to Jezebel's Defenestration of last year.

And so, I hereby present the players to this incredible piece of work (hopefully)...

Dashing Hero, as played by Johnny Thunder (in a different outfit) is the hero of the hour. Willing to fight evil at the drop of a hat. So be careful not to drop your hat.

Damsel in Distress, played by Jing Lee. Damsel's favourite hobbies are getting swept off her feet by handsome men, and screaming.

Dastardly Villain, played by Lord Sinister. Vile to the very core, Dastardly Villain laughs at anyone who is motivated to do good, as he prefers to bask in the glory of being hated and feared. Be afraid of him though, he is deadly with his pistol.

The Train, played by itself, is the plot device that may, in the end, kill the Damsel in Distress.














So what will happen? Will Dastardly Villain get his come-uppance? Will Damsel in Distress be crushed by the Train? Can Dashing Hero save his fair maiden's life in time?

You will have to wait and see.

Before I start this blog post, I would like to say something to the lone commenter, who claimed to solve the mystery of the blog post titles: I'm actually interested to see what you think the code is, especially since I said 'theme', which does not in any way, shape or form imply code. In other news, we very nearly have a mascot. Through tireless communication (AKA a grand total of two emails) we have narrowed our selection down to four. Well, actually Chibi suggested two, and I liked them so much I added two more.

I created a Knork! =D It caused great damage to my fingers (I have a blister now), because the place where it looks all black is not actually tape, but melted plastic, which was achieved by a candle and a lot of good luck.

Also, we have a fairy.

And two metcards from 2007, and one from 2004 (hoping for extra points on that one). I'm in the planning stages for one of the videos, the one with the damsel in distress.

Oh, yes, and I found/made the flannel graph. But I'm not showing you. Because it's too awesome.

Smiling Happily

After partaking of breakfast (a waffle, if anyone's interested, which you're probably not) I have come to realize that we actually have quite a lot of the items already.

1. For whatever reason, I actually registered the team with a name, because I actually thought that we needed to register with a name. Who knew?

7. As team captain, I have a copy of that...somewhere.

52. Those who know me well, will know that I am a sucker for LEGO. We'll have some, I just might have to arm-wrestle my little brother for it (He's on another team. Rivalry muchly!)

63. I knew there was a good reason that we have an eccentric taste in TV shows. We have two season 3's, but I'll have to split them with the *other* team here.
